How do you optimize search engines? 

Or maybe the best question must be like “What is Search Engine Optimization?”

But I’d prefer to ask the other way around, optimizing search engines.

And this is how I think of it, Search Engine Optimization or SEO is when you want your webpage or website be visible in search engines – like if you want to rank no. 1 or no. 2, so on so forth. And you’d want to use images, videos, long-tail keywords, and most search keywords, in your website, web pages, and web posts; so that search engines like google search, yahoo, Bing, would pull up your website or articles with the exact keywords used by the researcher. It will then appear in the search results.

While this is how Wikipedia defines, SEO:

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the online visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine‘s unpaid results—often referred to as “natural”, “organic“, or “earned” results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a website appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users; these visitors can then be converted into customers.

Mos Dot Com Defines SEO as:

“A marketing discipline focused on growing visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results.”
